The Tāpua Elite Bush Coat is Owen’s signature garment with his favourite Veil & Fire camo combo. The Tāpua Elite retains everything that made the original special and has been improved in key areas to make it 10% lighter and more packable, 30% more breathable and faster drying, and better for the environment by making the fabric out of recycled plastic bottles.
New front fabric has been added for increased temperature regulation. HYDRAFUSE™ HYBRIDTECH™ fabric (made from recycled polyester) expels heat and wicks moisture in a high sweat area. This increases comfort by regulating your body temperature and keeps you dry from the inside.
The shoulder fabric has a highly durable fleece outer with our HYDRAFUSE™ WINDCUT™ membrane making it a premium wind-proof, water-resistant fabric.
The tail panel uses HYDRAFUSE™ HYBRIDTECH™ fabric with our HYDRAFUSE™ WINDCUT™ membrane to keep rain and blood out.

The new HYDRAFUSE™ HYBRIDTECH™ fabric uses a 90gsm water-resistant, two-way stretch outer. Underneath is a high loft fleece inner, meaning the jacket is really warm, but breathes exceptionally well while remaining quiet, soft, and blocking out 90% of wind.
The HYDRAFUSE™ HYBRIDTECH™ is treated with an advanced PFC-free Durable Water Repellent finish.
The Tāpua Elite uses 3 thoughtfully placed fabrics:
1) The shoulder fabric outer with our HYDRAFUSE™ WINDCUT™ membrane making it a premium wind-proof, water-resistant fabric.
2) The front torso panel uses our two-way stretch and highly breathable HYDRAFUSE™ HYBRIDTECH™ fabric (made from recycled polyester) to expel heat and wick moisture in a high sweat area. This increases comfort by regulating body temperature and keeping you dry from the inside.
3) The tail panel uses HYDRAFUSE™ HYBRIDTECH™ fabric with our HYDRAFUSE™ WINDCUT™ membrane to keep rain and blood out.
The tunneltech™ hood design has an ergonomically designed shape with a stiff peak, keeping the rain out of your face however you choose to adjust the hood.
It has a rear one-touch puller to draw back the sides, providing excellent peripheral vision.
The one-touch puller cords on both sides tighten the hood around the face while leaving the peak in place, ensuring your hood stays up in even the strongest winds.
Short sleeves let the heat out and give freedom of movement, so you don't get tangled in your bow. A durable SBS® half-length zipper ensures easy on and off and helps you dump heat. It has a large SBS® zippered chest pocket to keep your essentials secure and close at hand. The cut has an extra long tail with a water-resistant membrane so you can sit down while keeping your backside dry.
The shoulders, back and hood are made of a quiet, water-resistant outer; combined with a windproof, shower-resistant membrane fleece lining. This combo makes the Tāpua Elite an extremely versatile hunting jacket.
